Achievement for all

Welcome from the Head Of School

I’d like to welcome you to Pictor Academy. We are so proud of this special place not just because we’ve achieved outstanding from previous Ofsted inspections but because anyone who visits will see the staff smiling and the pupils laughing. Learning here is fun and individualised to meet every pupil’s needs. We want everyone to feel part of a special family with all the help and support that you and your child needs.  We hope you will find this website useful as we’ve tried to include everything a parent or professional might be interested in.   We’ll happily show you around so you can see if this is the right place for your special child. To organise a visit or if you’d like further information then please feel free to contact us by email or phone.

Pictor Academy caters for children aged 2 – 11 with special educational needs arising from a range of conditions. A large number of pupils have an autistic spectrum disorder. This means that they have difficulties communicating and interacting with others. They will also have difficulties with play and imagination. Some of our pupils have physical difficulties whilst others may have a language disorder or have a general developmental delay.
