Happy New Year to everybody, we hope you all had a lovely Christmas break.

Our new topic is ‘It’s Cold Outside!

Through this topic we are going to be learning about winter and cold weather. We will also be learning about other cold places and the animals that live there.

Home Learning Ideas:

We have lots of fun activities planned to support our learning and will send photographs on class Dojo for you to look at with your children so you can extend their learning at home. We are also lucky to continue with our yoga sessions on Monday morning, which all the children love.
If you want to share any news about things the children have done that you want to share with us please let us know by class Dojo, did you know you can send photographs via the messages.

Pictor Academy

Pictor Academy caters for children aged 2 – 11 with special educational needs arising from a range of conditions. A large number of pupils have an autistic spectrum disorder. This means that they have difficulties communicating and interacting with others. They will also have difficulties with play and imagination. Some of our pupils have physical difficulties whilst others may have a language disorder or have a general developmental delay.

Outreach Support

We are now able to offer the following outreach support to settings:

• observation and advice on meeting the needs of a targeted pupil including strategies, differentiating the curriculum and developing Individual Education Plans

• training packages to support a school in meeting the needs of a targeted pupil

• workshops for staff training and development
